Day 1
Your guide will meet you at the airport outside Belize City for your transfer to Belize's Cayo District. Arrive at your hotel, check in and enjoy a welcome drink and snack. A short orientation and review of your itinerary will get you started on your unforgettable vacation. Ask your waiter to let you know if the kinkajou comes to the deck. This small primate, swinging through the trees, is fun to watch.

4 Overnights at duPlooy's Jungle Lodge.

Day 2
If you want to get up early to see what birds are visiting, head for the deck where there will be someone to identify them for you. You're sure to see a toucan here. Coffee and tea for the grown-ups and hot chocolate and juice for the children are complimentary from 6:30-7:30am.

After breakfast, your guide will take you for about an hour's drive to the Mountain Pine Ridge where, with your own flashlight you can explore the
Rio Frio Cave, a cave that is safe for everyone. Afterward, picnic and swim at the cascading Rio On Pools before heading "home" to duPlooy's. On the way back, visit the San Antonio Women's Coop for a look at local arts and crafts, pottery making, farm animals and garden. The San Antonio ladies will let you try working with a bit of clay and give you a Mayan style snack.

Note - Anytime during your stay you can schedule a relaxing spa treatment (not included in package price).

Day 3
In the morning, enjoy a guided tour of Belize Botanic Garden. After the garden tour your family will receive a complimentary copy of our very own Savannah Sam game. Next mount up and go for a horseback ride on one of our trails and be dropped off at the riverside for a half hour's tubing back to duPlooy's Macal River Beach where your picnic lunch will be waiting for you. Play on the beach, relax and return to your room whenever you want.

Day 4
While you're in Belize you just have to visit at least one Maya site and nearby (6 miles) Xunantunich is the perfect one for your family. Ride a hand-cranked ferry across the Mopan River and explore the site with your knowledgeable guide before going to Benny's restaurant for a real Belizean lunch. After lunch return to duPlooy's to do whatever on-site activities you choose.

Day 5
And who doesn't want to go to a Caribbean beach for a few days! Drive back to Belize City and travel by water taxi to Ambergris Caye where you can book your own activities with their dive shop, located right at your hotel. Getting around San Pedro in a Golf Cart is always fun and there are lots of choice for meals.

3 Overnights at Banana Beach Resort.

Days 6 & 7
Enjoy Diving or Sailing with Snorkeling or Glass Bottom Boat & Snorkel. Visit inland attractions such as Lamanai Archeological Site or Altun-Ha Archeological Site with the Baboon Sanctuary.

You may book these activities (at additional cost) directly with
Banana Beach Resort after you arrive or we can assist you with arranging your activities before your arrival.

Day 8
A short hop in a small plane will take you back to the Belize International Airport for your return home.

A Belize Departure Tax of US $39.25 per person is not included in our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in their ticket price. If it is not included, you will need to pay this Tax, in US$, directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure.
