Day 1
Arrive at BZE International Airport where your guide will be waiting for you at the passenger exit area with a sign with your name on it. Transfer by road to San Ignacio in the Cayo District with a stop at the Belize Zoo or Community Baboon Sanctuary, if your flight arrival-time permits.
Stay at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel with Family Suite Accommodations or duPlooy's Jungle Lodge with Jungle Lodge Connecting Rooms, La Casita or the larger Belize River House.
Day2
The adventure begins with some easy canoeing down the Macal River. If you look closely you are likely to spot huge iguanas in the treetops. See who can spot the most birds! There are plenty of spots to stop and take a Refreshing Swim as you drift downstream.
Tie up your canoe in San Ignacio and meet your guide and after exploring the town a bit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, head on out to Xunantunich Archaeological Site.
Day 3
Guided Horseback Ride or if you prefer, hike or bike through fields and forest to a picnic spot along the Macal River before canoeing or tubing to your pick-up point for return to your hotel. There are plenty of spots to stop and take a Refreshing Swim as you drift downstream.

Day 5
Zip-Line Canopy Tour & Cave Tubing

Day 6
Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave)
Travel back in
time and follow pathways used by the Maya
and discover lost worlds that have been hidden deep
within the jungle for centuries.
Trekking for 45 minutes through dense forest, fording the river 3 times just to get to Base Camp is an adventure in itself. A short swim (with life jacket & headlamp) will take you into the cave. View ancient altars, human sacrifices and the remains of pottery left behind by the Maya. This is definitely a "Once in a Lifetime Experience".
Day 7
Departure - Transfer to the Belize International Airport, Belize City or the Marine Terminal, with a stop-over at the Belize Zoo, if your schedule permits.

An early morning departure takes you to Tikal in
Guatemala, the most famous Mayan site in Central America. Tikal is located
in the lowlands of the Petén region in Guatemala and 1.5 hours by road from
Belize's western border. Tikal is the only place in the world which has been
declared both a Natural & Cultural
Heritage Site for Humanity.
Day 6

Important - This Package begins from the time you leave the airport exit terminal to when you are ready to board again for your flight home or onward destination. And includes All costs for Transport, Accommodations, Tours/Fees & Equipment and ALL meals starting with dinner on your arrival day to breakfast on your departure day.
A Belize Departure Tax of US $39.25 per person is not included in our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in their ticket price. At the present time, May, 2010, American Airlines does not include this tax. If not included, you will need to pay this Tax, in US$, directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure.
