Day 1
Arrive at BZE International Airport where your guide will be waiting for you at the passenger exit area with a sign with your name on it. Transfer by road to San Ignacio in the Cayo District with a stop at the Belize Zoo or Community Baboon Sanctuary, if your flight arrival-time permits.

Day 2
The adventure begins with some easy canoeing down the Macal River. If you look closely you are likely to spot huge iguanas in the treetops. See who can spot the most birds! There are plenty of spots to stop and take a Refreshing Swim as you drift downstream.
Tie up your canoe in San Ignacio and meet your guide and after exploring the town a bit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, head on out to Xunantunich Archaeological Site.
Day 3
Your guide will paddle you slowly through Barton Creek Cave, and while you gaze upward at incredible cathedral-like formations will relate the cave history to you as it relates to the Maya; afterward visit Green Hills Butterfly Ranch where you can see how butterflies are raised. On the way back visit the San Antonio Women's Co-op, pet farm animals, work with clay and see local arts and crafts.
Day 4
After breakfast enjoy a gentle family horseback ride around the property and be dropped off on the Macal River for a 20-30 minute tube downstream to duPlooy's for a picnic and an afternoon on the beach.
Day 5
Transfer over-land to Placencia with a stop for a picnic and swim at the Inland Blue Hole and stay at an Ocean-Front Suite at Laru Beya Resort & Villas

Day 6
Laughing Bird Caye National Park, is located 17 kilometers off the coast of Placencia. It is named after a laughing gull species that formally resided there. Frigate Birds, Pelicans and Brown Boobies are a few of the species that still frequent this caye. This small island retreat, where you can view soft and hard coral and colorful marine life in shallow waters, offers great snorkeling for all ages. More about Snorkeling & Diving in Placencia.
Day 7
Make your way by foot, bicycle or taxi to Placencia Village, look around, visit some of the gift shops, play on the beach. Your day to relax. Lots of good local restaurants featuring local cuisine. Before you know it, it's time to head back to your hotel.... But first, stop by Tutti Frutti for a cooling homemade gelato.
Day 8
Spend the day in the pool, enjoy complimentary kayaking or sailing a hobie cat or, If you'd like, you can organize another activity for your family.
Day 9
Departure - Local flight from Placencia to BZE International Airport;

Important - This Packages begins from the time you leave the airport exit terminal to when you are ready to board again for your flight home or onward destination. And includes All costs for Transport, Accommodations, Tours/Fees & Equipment and ALL meals at duPlooy's or San Ignacio Hotel, starting with dinner on your arrival day to breakfast on your departure day. Note the order you do your activities may change depending on weather or other conditions.
Breakfast is included in the Placencia portion of this package. You will find many fine places to dine in the Placencia and San Ignacio areas with a variety of cuisines to suit your taste and budget.
A Belize Departure Tax of US $39.25 per person is not included in our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in their ticket price. If it is not included, you will need to pay this Tax, in US$, directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure.
