Day 1
Arrive at BZE International Airport where your guide will be waiting for you at the passenger exit area with a sign with your name on it. Transfer by road to San Ignacio, in the Cayo District, with a stop at the Community Baboon Sanctuary, if your flight arrival-time permits.

6 Overnights at Midas Tropical Resort

Day2
An easy Canoe Trip down the Macal River. If you look closely you are likely to spot huge iguanas in the treetops. Meet your guide in San Ignacio Town for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, head on out to Xunantunich Archaeological Site.

Day 3
Jungle Horseback Riding. After a leisurely breakfast head for the hills and a half day's riding. Walk your horse leisurely under the forest canopy, canter across open fields and trails. What a way to enjoy the countryside! Our horses are easy-going and suitable for riders of all abilities and ages. If you prefer, our trails are also suitable for either hiking or biking.

After lunch and a self-guided tour of Belize Botanic Gardens you'll be ready for a Refreshing Swim in the Macal River before returning to San Ignacio.

Day 4
Canoe through Barton Creek Cave. Afterwards drive through the Mountain Pine Ridge, a spectacular range of rolling hills, peaks and gorges and stop for a swim at Big Rock Falls.

Day 5
Cave Tubing - After a 40-minute nature hike, where your guide will point out medicinal and traditional uses of some of the plants you will see along the way, your journey through the Caves Branch River system begins. You will enter an exciting realm, where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your head lamp to lead the way. Add Zip-Line Canopy Tour for $45 per person extra.

Day 6
Actun Tunichil Muknal Tour (ATM Cave)
Travel back in time and follow pathways used by the Maya and discover lost worlds that have been hidden deep within the jungle for centuries.

Trekking for 45 minutes through dense forest, fording the river 3 times just to get to Base Camp is an adventure in itself. A short swim will take you into the cave. View ancient altars, human sacrifices and the remains of pottery left behind by the Maya. This is definitely a "Once in a Lifetime Experience".

Day 7
Transfer to BZE International Airport with a stop at the Belize Zoo when your flight schedule permits. You've already saved enough for your return trip.

A Belize Departure Tax of US $39.25 per person is not included in our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in their ticket price. At the present time, May, 2010, American Airlines does not include this tax. If not included, you will need to pay this Tax, in US$, directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure.
