Day 1
Arrive at BZE International Airport where your guide will be waiting for you at the passenger exit area with a sign with your name on it. Transfer by road to San Ignacio in the Cayo District with a stop at the Belize Zoo or Community Baboon Sanctuary, if your flight arrival-time permits.

Day 3
Actun Tunichil Muknal Tour (ATM Cave)
Travel back in time and follow pathways used by the Maya and discover lost worlds that have been hidden deep within the jungle for centuries.

Trekking for 45 minutes through dense forest, fording the river 3 times just to get to Base Camp is an adventure in itself. A short swim (with life jacket & headlamp) will take you into the cave. View ancient altars, human sacrifices and the remains of pottery left behind by the Maya. This is definitely a "Once in a Lifetime Experience".

Day 4
An early morning departure takes you to Tikal in Guatemala, the most famous Mayan site in Central America. Tikal is located in the lowlands of the Petén region in Guatemala and 1.5 hours by road from Belize's western border. Tikal is the only place in the world which has been declared both a Natural & Cultural Heritage Site for Humanity. Enjoy a private guided tour (approximately 4 hrs).

Overnight - at the Jungle Lodge in Tikal.

Day 5

Option 1 -
Experience picturesque sunrise and sunsets at Tikal, visit the museum on your own, take the opportunity to revisit some of the more interesting areas from the day before or go off on your own to see more of Tikal as there is so much more to see than can be done in a single day.

Overnight - at the Jungle Lodge in Tikal

Option 2 -
Depart Tikal in the morning for Flores, located on picturesque Lake Petén Itzá, 45 minutes by road from Parque National Tikal. On your own, enjoy a 2-3 hour tour of the lake in a "Launcha". ($25/2 persons)

Overnight in Flores at Hotel Isla de Flores

Day 6
For options 1 or 2 - Transfer to Flores International Airport one hour ahead of time for your 45 minute flight to Belize International Airport (Flight times 8:45am and 4:15pm)

If you would like to continue on to San Pedro by air, add $68 per person. The afternoon flight from Flores arrives at Belize International Airport in time for the last flight to San Pedro.

Important - This Package begins from the time you leave the airport exit terminal to when you are ready to board again for your flight home or onward destination. And includes All costs for Transport, Accommodations, Tours/Fees & Equipment, boat trip and meals at duPlooy's and Tikal Jungle Lodge, but not in Flores. Meals start with dinner on your arrival day to breakfast on your departure day. Guatemala departure tax of $33US per person is Not Included in this package. Note the order you do your activities may change depending on weather or other conditions.

A Belize Departure Tax of US $39.25 per person is not included in our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in their ticket price. If it is not included, you will need to pay this Tax, in US$, directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure. Additionally, a US $18.75 per person border management fee is not included in the price for a tour to Tikal (Guatemala). You will need to pay this fee directly to the Belize border authorities.
