San Ignacio - Tikal & Yaxhá

Day 1
Arrive at BZE International Airport where your guide will be waiting for you at the passenger exit area with a sign with your name on it. Transfer by road to San Ignacio in the Cayo District with a stop at the Belize Zoo or Community Baboon Sanctuary, if your flight arrival-time permits.

Overnight duPlooy's Jungle Lodge

Day 2
An early morning departure takes you to Yaxhá in Guatemala. (1 hr. from Belize). Yaxhá was the location for Survivor, a US TV program aired in 2005. Tour the site on your own or with private guide (2-3 hours).

Afterwards continue by road to Tikal (1 hr.), the most famous Mayan site in Central America. Tikal is located in the lowlands of the Petén region in Guatemala. Tikal is the only place in the world which has been declared both a Natural & Cultural Heritage Site for Humanity.

Check into your Bungalow around 2-3 pm. Explore the park on your own or take an optional, guided-group Sunset tour. Park closes at 6pm.

Overnight - at the Jungle Lodge in Tikal.

Day 3
Enjoy a private, guided tour of Tikal (approximately 4 hrs). After lunch our driver will meet you at approximately 2 pm for your return to Cayo. On the way back - Make an optional stop in El Remate for gift shopping.

Departure - Transfer to the BZE International Airport or the Marine Terminal in Belize City.

Important - This Package begins from the time you leave the airport exit terminal to when you are ready to board again for your flight home or onward destination. And includes All costs for Transport, Accommodations, Tours/Fees & Equipment and ALL meals, starting with dinner on your arrival day to breakfast on your departure day. Note the order you do your activities may change depending on weather or other conditions.

A Belize Departure Tax of US $39.25 per person is not included in our package prices. Most airlines now include this cost in their ticket price. If it is not included, you will need to pay this Tax, in US$, directly to the airport authorities at Philip S. Goldson International Airport, on the date of your departure. Additionally, a US $18.75 per person border management fee is not included in the price for tours to Tikal & Yaxhá (Guatemala). You will need to pay this fee directly to the Belize border authorities.
