Blue Hole Diving from Caye Caulker
Blue Hole Day Trip: After the Blue Hole, the second dive is a wall dive at Half Moon Caye where the marine life and coral formations in this area are simply amazing. Zigzag through walls of pinnacles covered with a rich variety of coral life. Stingrays, barracudas, hog snappers, jacks and yellow tail snappers are commonly seen here. Surface interval is spent on Half Moon Caye National Monument where lunch and drinks are provided. There is a $5 US equivalent entrance fee collected upon entry to the bird sanctuary and marine park, which is home to the red-footed booby bird. The third dive of the day is a relaxing 50 wall dive at Long Caye. See large coral sponges and plentiful marine life. Blue Hole Overnights: Camp on a deserted island in tents or hammock or sleep on board. Includes meals and drinks. Minimum 8 persons are required to run an overnight. Note: Trips to The Blue Hole are recommended for advanced divers, however PADI open water is only required. |
