Belize's barrier reef and the cayes are waiting,
with transportation provided by the resort's 25 foot boat, piloted
by a local guide who knows the good spots.
Nearby Placencia lagoon is ideal for early morning
bird watching or late afternoon excursion, where you may quietly
canoe, while watching for a water birds, manatee and an occasional
crocodile. You may also drop a fishing line here.... more about Placencia
Lagoon.
SNORKELING & DIVE
Some of the most spectacular, unspoiled snorkeling spots that the Caribbean
has to offer are experienced in this area. Fewer boats are seen here,
compared to more populated areas in the Caribbean, therefore the coral
formations are well preserved. Southern Belize is renowned for its
invertebrate life, hard and soft corals, migrating whale sharks in
April and June and seasonal spawning snapper.
The experienced snorkeler
can explore more inaccessible sites from the boat, while the majority
of our destinations are right off the shore of sandy cayes. Our guide
will assist you with gear and technique, if this is your first experience.... more
