Watershed Ecology and Conservation ....
Experiential Learning at it's Best - Hands on - (10 Days)

Watersheds are macro systems composed of mountains and valleys and a single network of rivers and streams that are connected to each other and to the sea. Ecologists have discovered that to conserve a forest or a stream or a wetland, in reality it is necessary to conserve the entire watershed that each one is a part of.

Learn about the Macal River watershed system - how the forests feed the streams and the streams nurture the valleys. These then give way to coastal wetlands and mangrove forests that filter the water one last time before giving up their essential nutrients to corals and other reef systems.

Learn how you can contribute to tropical conservation by participating in this hands-on Watershed Ecology Program.
